You’ve moved into your brand-new construction Magnolia Home! Yay! We are so excited to have you! You may be thinking…..”Now what?!” Here are a few items to remember as you’re getting acclimated to your new life of luxury!
Schedule Your Movers
Before getting caught up in the excitement of your new home being complete, do not forget to schedule your movers! We want to make sure all of the things from your current home make it safely to your new home!
Enable Water, Sewer, and Sanitation Services
If you are moving to one of our communities in Collierville, you are going to want to make sure that you go through the steps to getting your water, sewer, and sanitation services set up. This is all done through the Town of Collierville, where you can easily apply for these services through their website! If you are moving to our Rossville Community, the town of Rossville Utility Department provides water and sanitation services to residents with their many wells and waste water lagoon. Here, you can contact the Public Works service to schedule your service start date! 901-853-4681.

Transfer Electric and Utilities
In the same vein, you will need to transfer or start your electric and utilities! Although water is through the Town of Collierville, electric and utilities are through Memphis Light Gas and Water. You can schedule setup of your services to align with the time of your move-in. https://www.mlgw.com/residential/requestservice
For our Rossville residents, you will contact Chickasaw Electric for Electric Services. You can do so by calling 901-465-3591. Additionally, you will need to contact the Hardeman-Fayette Utility District to set up gas services by calling 901-877-6236. For utilities, you will contact the Town of Rossville Utility Department for setting up and maintaining sewer, garbage, water, and utilities. Change of Address
This simple task is easily overlooked, but so important for the checklist! Update your address at the local post office in Collierville or Rossville, or online as soon as possible – you don’t want to miss out on receiving mail at your new home! https://moversguide.usps.com/mgo/address-info
Confirm Zoned Schools for Children
If you have children who will be attending Collierville Schools, remember to confirm which school they will be attending and enroll them accordingly! Setting up a home maintenance schedule once you move into your new home will help you in the long run! When creating your home maintenance schedule, we would recommend reviewing seasonal tasks, such as changing you air filters, changing out the batteries in smoke detector if needed, scheduling routine lawn care, and more. Save Important Information from Orientation
As you settle into your new home, we recommend storing your lovely Orientation Packet in a safe place! This is full of great information on the products and warranties in your home.
