Whether you’ve lived in Collierville your entire life and are moving from across the street to a Magnolia Home or you are brand new to Tennessee and you’re not even sure where to start on finding the best spots in the Ville: this guide is for you! We are providing you with a list of all of our favorite places in the Collierville Area. These are the places that the Magnolia Homes team personally endorses, loves, frequents, and stands-behind! From dining and shopping, to exercising and events, we’re providing you with all of our personal favorites that will make you fall in love with this charming town!
Food
There’s lots and lots to love about Collierville, but one of our favorites is the food scene. Collierville is home to plenty of local favorites and nationally known restaurants. We’re sharing some of the places we frequent or rave about the most. Let’s dig in!
You know we’re all about a family-run business, especially one that offers a delicious spin on comforting favorites! Skybox is family-owned-and-operated and provides excellent service. You can choose from a wide variety of fantastic menu items where everyone can find something they love! We love coming here for lunch with the team, but SkyBox is also the best atmosphere for watching sports with your friends and family!
Reggie’s Recommendation: Go on Wednesday’s – the daily special is the Brisket Bowl and it is so good!
Catherine’s Recommendation: You have to get the Smoked Pork Chop!
When we’re looking for a fresh, light option for the work day, we order lunch from Cheffie’s! Their filling salads and sandwiches keep us full and provide a healthier option for lunch. They offer fabulous house-made menu items, but you can also create your own salad and sandwich from their variety of options.
The Office Girls recommendation: The House Salad, Chopped, No onion, add croutons and grilled chicken!
If you’re looking for a cozy, quality, and quick lunch, look no further than Fuji Café! The service is top-notch, the food is excellent, and it’s the perfect place for a lunch date with a friend. The lunch specials are incredible, and the servers truly make you feel like family!
Libby’s Recommendation: The lunch special Sushi Bento Box!
Think Memphis Staples: think Huey’s! There’s no better place for American favorites than Huey’s. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the atmosphere is always fun. Huey’s is known for their world-class burgers, but they also offer a variety of other options such as sandwiches, steak classics, salads, and more. Their house-made ranch is to die for!
Kaitlyn’s Recommendation: Classic Huey Burger with fries – extra crispy – and a side of ranch!
Hunter’s Recommendation: Cheese fries to start, followed by the Club sandwich.
Looking for an elevated dining experience located on the charming Town Square? Look no further than Raven + Lily! This local restaurant is a town favorite, with delicious fine-dining meals, hearty brunch, and captivating cocktails. The Raven & Lily team is incredibly kind and is always striving to provide the best experience possible for their guests.
Grace’s Recommendation: For dinner, get the shrimp and grits or the goat cheese with salmon. For brunch, get the French Toast!
Here’s the thing about wing places: you never know what you’re going to get. Enter: Wing Guru! Consistently delicious, this is the best wing place in Collierville. There’s no better place to stop for game day, company events, or even a fun lunch!
Hunter, Reggie, and Kaitlyn’s Recommendation: 20 piece party wing (Half Triple J, Half Guru Gold), seasoned fries, and a Dr.Pepper.
When you’re looking for a good ole classic Mexican restaurant, look no further than El Porton. Lovingly nicknamed “El Po”, this is a Magnolia Homes staple. Seriously, if you ever need to find one of us over the lunch hour, there are high odds we are at El Porton. We are strong believers that a cheese dip and a taco can solve most of life’s problems, and you pair it with fun coworkers to giggle with and a fabulous serving team? Plenty of joyous memories have been made here.
Office Team Recommendation: when we’re at El Porton, we are not skimping on Cheese Dip or the El Porton Dip. We also really love the Don Pollo (chicken, cheese, and rice!).
There’s nothing better than finding a pizza place that you continuously crave and are eager for the next time you’ll eat it! For us, that’s Lost Pizza Co. This delicious pizza place with an upbeat atmosphere is located right off the Collierville Square, and has a variety of flavors, crusts, and draft beer! Looking for a healthier option? They also offer fabulous salads and cauliflower crust pizzas!
Whitney’s Recommendation: Cauliflower crust pizza with pepperoni and green peppers or the Otis
Looking for a delicious lunch or a quick take-out spot for dinner where you will be full while knowing you dined on fresh ingredients?! Tacos for Life is your choice! An elevated version of the normal Mexican restaurant, Tacos For Life is a superior choice for tacos, dips, bowls, and quesadillas. Our meals are always so fresh and the serving staff is always so delightful and accommodating when we eat here!
Shannon’s Recommendation: The Mango Habenero Taco with a side of Mexican Corn.
For a combination of Hibachi restaurant & top-notch sushi, Osaka is our go-to! We love that you can dine here for a fun dinner with your family or for a tasty lunch with our MH team. The food is always impeccable in taste and presentation, and you leave feeling so satiated.
Reggie’s Recommendation: Hands down Spicy Crawfish roll and the Hurricane Roll!!!
For an elevated evening or a cozy spot for lunch, look no further than Jim’s Place Grille! This family-owned steak house offers a dining experience that is excellent in service, cuisine, and ambiance.
Kaitlyn’s Recommendation: You cannot go wrong with the filet with their russet mashed potatoes!
Whitney’s Recommendation: The Chopped Cobb with Grilled Chicken!
Family-owned & operated, this authentic Italian restaurant located on Historic Town Square is a phenomenal place for a nice dinner or a fun happy-hour with friends! Every item on the menu is decedent and will leave you dreaming about it until your next dining experience here. We even hosted our 2023 MH Team Christmas Party at Grisanti’s and it was a hit!
Donna’s Recommendation: The Manicotti & Elfo Combo!
Whitney’s Recommendation: The toasted ravioli!
The location and ambiance of Café Piazza is immediately alluring. Upon first glance, you may think the restaurant is a residential home situated on the Collierville Square! Because of its previous occupancy as a former home, the restaurant provides a cozy experience perfect for a nice evening. Delicious Italian food, pizza, wine, and dessert, all add to the decedent aura of Café Piazza!
Whitney’s Recommendation: Queen Margherita Pizza!
The Silver Caboose: where you can find classic Southern cuisine that feels like being at home! This family-owned restaurant is nestled on the Collierville Square and is always busy, because the dishes are so delicious. With a weekly-rotating menu, each time you visit is a new experience. They also offer the Side Car Market where you can quickly pickup your Silver Caboose favorites to take home with you!
Ms. Karen’s Recommendation: For Fall and Winter, the Chicken and Dressing with Sweet Potato Casserole and Green Beans! In the Spring and Summer, you have to get the supreme Chicken or Tuna salad with Mixed Fruit on the side!
One thing about Memphis: we know good BBQ. One thing about Magnolia Homes Employees: we know where to find good BBQ, and that’s at The Commissary! This is a classic lunch spot for us, as the food is consistently good, the service is wonderful, and the menu is full of delicious options, offering more than just BBQ.
Catherine’s Recommendation: You’ve got to get the Pulled Pork BBQ Nachos!
Think of this as an elevated Southern BBQ dining experience! WRBC offers the very best brisket, as well as other delicious Southern comforts like shrimp & grits, mac-and-cheese, and delicious appetizers! An extra fun adventure: during the holiday season, WRBC decorates the restaurant all out in holiday fun – you have to see it!
Kaitlyn’s Recommendation: Start with a Sausage & Cheese Plate, then order the Sliced Brisket (mixed) with a side of the Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes! Incredible!
The Irish pub of our dreams, located on Historic Town Square! Trivia, live music, hand-crafted cocktails, an incredible back patio with TVs perfect for game day: what more could you desire?! Along with an entertaining atmosphere, you can expect a European- American culinary experience unlike any other in the town!
Whitney’s Recommendation: The fish & chips!
South of Beale is one of Collierville’s newest additions to the local restaurant palette! A fun atmosphere and an elevated spin on American favorites make this an easy choice for a date night or Happy Hour with friends!
Katie’s Recommendation: General Tso’s Cauliflower and the Wild Mushroom Pasta
Known throughout the Southwest, Rotolo’s was a highly anticipated restaurant when it made its debut in Memphis! With such raving reviews, another location was added to Collierville, and it has been a hit! Offering a variety of comfort foods alongside delicious pizzas, this restaurant provides everything you could want for a delicious dining experience!
Kaitlyn’s Recommendation: Start with the brussels sprouts, then get the deep dish Simple Man! The Thin Crust Sausage Lovers is also a goodie!
Collierville Town Square
If you didn’t know, Collierville has been voted best small-town Main Street! We can’t help but agree, because Main Street runs right through charming Town Square. Here, you will find a variety of shops, dining, treats, and treasures! Here’s a few of our favorites:
Our cumulative most-frequented coffee shop has to be hands-down Square Beans! It feels like stepping right into Stars Hollow, as it’s located right on the Collierville Square. The friendly baristas, the delicious beverages, the comfortable seating: it all just comes together to make it the best place to fuel us. We’ve gone here for team meetings, one-on-one meetings, a stop on the way into the office, and just for a good mid-day pick-me-up! We are simply obsessed with Square Beans.
Katie’s Recommendation: The Honey Vanilla Latte, Iced, Half-Sweet.
A small town cannot be considered a small town without its local cowboy boot and clothing store! Since 1961, Hewlett and Dunn has been located on Town Square and is a Collierville crowd favorite! More than just boots, this store also offers adorable clothing options to purchase as well. The staff is so warm and knowledgeable in helping you find exactly what you need to look your best!
There is nothing quite like supporting local businesses! What better way to support multiple local businesses quite like shopping at a local boutique?! Mercantile Off Main is exactly where you need to go if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a friend, adorable trinkets for your own home, local art, cute clothes, and MORE! This little shop is so unique, and you will find items that you are unable to find anywhere else! They also have the best selection of your favorite team’s merchandise, including the Collierville Dragons! We always hit the jackpot each and every time we walk into this sweet spot.
CJ Lilly & CO: local florist and gift-shop extraordinaire! Here, you can order gorgeous blooms and find the perfect gift for the loved ones in your life. Stop in on your next stroll through the town Square!

Looking for catering for your next event? Pre-made meals throughout the week? An event venue for a rehearsal dinner or wedding shower? Simply Done is our recommendation! Located in a charming restored white church off of Town Square, there’s no cuter or more delicious place to feed and host you well!
Collierville even has its own event venue right off of Town Square! Perfect for wedding receptions, corporate events, galas, and even birthday parties, this gorgeous space is a unique and fun place to host an event!
When looking for fabulous finds for your home, look no further than the Feathered Nest! Buyer beware: everything in this store is adorable and you just might accidentally leave with more than what you were looking for! This is the best spot for home furnishings and custom home finishes, and there’s even a team of incredible designers to help you along the way! Whether you’re looking to revamp your entire home or looking for a few small additions to complete a space, you must stop in to the Feathered Nest!
Parks
Collierville offers a numerous amount of community parks that range in a variety of amenities. From dog parks to walking trails, pickleball courts and jungle gyms, Collierville is home to 13 different spots for outside fun and leisure! Here are just a few of our favorites:
An endless amount of walking or running trails, gorgeous nature-views, fun playgrounds, turf soccer fields, competitive baseball fields, and so much more can be found at Johnson Park! This is the place to be for all walks of life. Whether you’re wanting a beautiful first-seat-view of the Wolf River, cheering on your favorite rec sports team, or looking to catch a fish in the stocked pond, Johnson Park has it for you!
An incredibly expansive park, Hinton Park is one of the town’s newest additions! Offering a variety of fun amenities such as a disc-golf course, picnic tables, a playground, soccer fields, walking trails, and more, Hinton Park has something to offer everyone! This park is always clean and pristine, and the perfect place to go to enjoy nice weather with friends and family. This park is also minutes from our Magnolia Preserve and Cypress Grove Communities!
Cox Park (Powell Road Park) + The DAC
Cox Park, also known by locals as Powell Road Park, is an adorable place for people of all ages! This park offers turf soccer fields, baseball fields, a playground, pickleball courts, tennis courts, and an outdoor walking loop that trails through the park and is exactly one mile in distance. Cox Park is also home to the Desoto Athletic Club, with its own gym and indoor walking track, and the Harrell Theatre.
Located right off of the Collierville Town Square is beautiful and serene Suggs Park! This park offers wide open spaces, soccer fields, a playground, a splash pad, baseball fields, a dog park for pups of all sizes, and BRAND NEW pickleball courts! A few members of our Magnolia Team have already taken full advantage of these courts. This park is surrounded by mature trees, offering ample shade and scenic views.
The Public Library
When we say “The happiest place on Earth”, we do not mean Disney World, we mean the Collierville Public Library! You might be thinking: the library? There can’t be THAT much to rave about? But there is! The Collierville Public Library is an incredible venue for residents of all ages, offering a multitude of informative classes and of course a wide selection of books, magazines, and movies. Rich in history, the library has been a part of Collierville since 1931 when it was in the form of a “Bookmobile” before finding its first home on the Collierville Town Square, and eventually moving to the gorgeous building it’s in today by Town Hall. The educated and informed staff at the library can help you with whatever you may need, including helping you to reserve a study room. This is the perfect space for working, reading, and learning.
Events
Collierville is one of the best places to call home for SO many reasons, but one of our favorites is that there is an abundance of community activities! Nothing brings a community together quite like getting to celebrate different holidays or participate in different events alongside friends and neighbors. Here are a few of our favorites:
Fair on the Square
Hosted annually the first weekend of May, the Fair on the Square is an arts and crafts festival and so much more! You can expect the entire Collierville Square closed off for foot traffic only as the streets are packed with booths displaying local art and treasures. Enjoy a corndog while being entertained by live music from local artists and school choirs. Get your face painted, then browse from the hundreds of vendors! There’s always something for everyone!
Collierville Fireworks
No one celebrates the 4th of July quite like Collierville does! Each year, the town hosts a bustling Fireworks celebration complete with live music, food trucks, and of course a wow-worthy fireworks show! You can see the show from various spots around the town, but the best seat in the house is where the event is hosted at Cox Park! Bring your family, your blankets, lawn chairs, bug spray, and of course your patriotic décor and you are sure to have a blast!
Collierville Tree Lighting
Another favorite event is the Collierville Christmas Tree Lighting! Each year at Christmas, the town decorates the Square with gorgeous lights throughout, including a giant tree decorated as a Christmas Tree! The town gathers together, supplied with free hot chocolate, enjoying live music, and donning light-up glasses as we wait for the magical countdown when the Christmas tree and the surrounding lights comes to life! This is the sweetest celebration!
Collierville Christmas Parade
Continuing in the jolliest season of the year, the Collierville Christmas Parade is such a fun event that you must attend! The first Friday in December, town members gather from all over to watch beautiful, silly, and spirited floats down Byhalia Road! You can expect all of your favorite Christmas characters, such as Santa, Frosty, and Rudolph, as well as local businesses, churches, dance teams, and more participating in this lively event! Such a great way to get in the Christmas spirit, surrounded by your friends, family, and neighbors.
Collierville Farmers Market
Nothing pulls you closer to your small-town roots quite like attending the local farmers market! The Collierville Farmers market is hosted at Collierville United Methodist off Poplar each Thursday from the end of May until the end of September. Here you can find a variety of local goodies such as fresh fruits and vegetables, delicious baked goods, gorgeous flowers, and a variety of meats and dairy items. Mark your calendars, because this is a must-attend weekly event – you’ll never know what you will find!
Summer Concert Series
Of course, you must attend the Summer Concert Series! On Thursday nights in the summer, you can find local musicians performing in the middle of the Square’s Gazebo. Spectators can bring lawn chairs and blankets (and maybe a hand-fan!) while they sit back and enjoy the fabulous live music offered for free! Just another incredible event that the town provides that brings community together.
Taste of the Town
There is no event more fun than the Taste of the Town event held each September on the Collierville Square! This event is a fantastic way to sample a variety of different Collierville area restaurants, while listening to awesome music from local artists! Sip and savor over delicious drinks and eats while supporting the downtown historic district! Tickets can be purchase on the Mainstreet Collierville website.
