2023 Paint Color Trends

2022: you’ve come and nearly gone, and we have loved every moment of you, including the expansion of color into designs palettes! As time has progressed, we’ve seen a shift more and more into testing the waters with colors and bold designs for interior and exterior paint palettes! Coming from a team that has been deeply rooted with Ms. Karen’s love of color throughout the home, we are obsessed with where things are heading from a color trend perspective! Today, we are sharing our color trends for 2023 and what we hope to see more and more throughout home paint colors.

Wood Colored Cabinets

Warm, comforting, and complimentary of all colors: natural wood-colored cabinets are making their comeback onto the design palette scene! We have seen an abundance of these cabinets throughout the home, whether it be the kitchen island, scullery, butler’s cabinets, and even the primary bathroom. The homeowners who have opted for this color in their home design have ranged from light wood to dark! Any way that we have seen it thus far, we have loved the cozy yet classy impression that it provides. We expect to continue seeing an expansion of these rich natural wood color throughout 2023.

Seeing Green

The color of the year for 2022 that is making its way into all things: green! Whether it is wall paint color, kitchen cabinet and island colors, trim work, sculleries, or statement walls: we are seeing green everywhere! We are absolutely thrilled about this! The color of serenity and prosperity, this fun hue can easily lift spirits and bring an extra dose of energy as soon as you walk into the room it inhabits. We can’t wait to see the different shades of green that come to life on paint palettes in 2023!

Moody/Bold Wall Paint

Bring on all the bold and moody paint colors! In 2022, we saw more and more homeowners try a bold wall paint color in their home. Whether implemented in a statement spot like their dining room wall paint, their family room fireplace trim work, or in the vent hood color, it has been an eye-catching and captivating addition to any space. We know this sleek dark palette will continue into 2023, and we expect to see it in even more design spaces throughout the home.

Warm & Cozy Colors

Next up on what we expect to see in 2023: transitioning into a warmer color palette! We are seeing a shift away from grays and more into warmer white colors, tans, and overall Earthier tones. These colors bring a welcome and inviting vibrance to any home and compliment the other color trends aforementioned as well. We’re eager to see where this color trend is headed in the new year!
