A Home as Incredible as Its Homeowners: A Spotlight on the Harvey Manor

You know what they say: good things take time. That’s the case of this truly magnificent new construction home in the heart of Collierville. After multiple years of planning, designing, curating, and building, this incredible home is finally ready for its well-deserving homeowners to enjoy for a lifetime to come!

Not only is the home itself a work of art, but the homeowners who worked so hard on creating this space are pure gold and so special to us. Second-time Magnolia Homeowners, this family has had plenty of experience finding out what features work for their lifestyle and what needs to be added to their home.

Something that makes this home so unique is its prime location in the heart of Collierville. Previous to this Magnolia Home, the Harvey family lived in another home right off of the Collierville Town Square. They absolutely loved that home, but when the right person came knocking (literally!) to buy it, they started to consider what their future living situation could look like. While there were changes they desired in their home, they did not want to compromise their close proximity to the charming Town Square we all know and love! After months and months of planning, the perfect homesite was found nestled just .02 miles from their previous home. From there, the dreaming really began!

When designing this home, we knew that it had to have an elevation and exterior that matched its charming location. The homeowners worked very closely with Ed Yendrick from Classic Home Designs to curate a classic, Southern elevation, with sophisticated and elegant details. They knew there would be requirements from the Town of Collierville that would need to be adhered to, as this home is located in the town’s Historic District. The homeowners selected high-quality materials, such as Owens Corning Tru-Def roofing and Pella Lifestyle series with SDLS throughout on the windows to complete the look. The exterior palette is complete with the stunning blue stone front porch, stately front columns, and the most perfect paint color combination you could ever dream of for the brick, siding, and shutters!

There isn’t a single detail out of place with this home. Each color, shape, and design serves a purpose of intentionality that flows in perfect harmony with one another. You are welcomed through the front door by a warm interior palette that starts with honey tones in the white oak hardwood and expands into the creamy colors of the walls and trim. The dining room, seen upon entry, is a romantically bold hue of inspiration and delight. This moody room is paired with bright, open windows that provide the perfect view of the front yard. Through the dining room, you see arched openings, including one that leads through to the dreamy scullery. The scullery is immaculate, complete with honey bronze finishes.

The homeowners wanted to incorporate serene hues of nature in their home, including beautiful wooden beams and lots of natural light from expansive windows throughout the family room and kitchen. They continued these serene vibes with their sizable, natural Alder wood island, Silestone countertops and backsplashes, and golden finishes for light fixtures, cabinet hardware, and plumbing.  The kitchen is so dreamy and inviting, but one of the most infatuating features is the farm kitchen sink’s location at the window overlooking the backyard. It really is the little details of this home that bring it all together!

The elegance in design does not end at the common spaces in this home, but extends to even the mundane spots. For example, the laundry room features a gorgeous white-and-cream checkered floor, paired with gorgeous gray cabinets, and an adorable backsplash with little marbled magnolia flowers. Who says you can’t do chores in a cute space?! From there, the laundry room is connected directly to the expansive primary closet and retreat! An intentionally designed layout that far differs from the closet and laundry room design of their previous home.

Serene elements continue into the primary retreat, where the use of stunning floral wallpaper compliments natural wood cabinetry and creamy marble tile. The polished nickel finishes on the light fixtures, plumbing, and cabinet hardware add such an opulent element to this spa-like oasis.

Continuing throughout the home, the guest bathrooms, the home office, and the recreation room upstairs all don sophisticated details that evoke joy and contentment. For example, the half bathroom is absolutely lovely with its energetic wallpaper, pink shadowboxing, and floral sconces! The warm, inviting essence found throughout this home is just a mirror and representation of the precious personalities that these homeowners have. We are so thrilled for the incredibly hard work they have put into making this home their very own and deserve nothing but special and sweet memories to be made here! Congratulations, Harvey Family! Welcome Home!
