2024 Year in Review
2024! What a year! We cannot believe we’re coming to the end of such an incredible 12 months that have been filled with excitement, brought us the sweetest homeowners, introduced us to new phases and floor plans, kept us on our toes, taught us new lessons, included the most fun events, gave us a few new employees, and overall brought us many joyful days that left us full of gratitude in our hearts!
We started off 2024 with news of new phases in both our Cypress Grove and Oak Hill Communities! Since then, we’ve welcome in precious new homeowners who have gotten to thoroughly enjoy the brand new elevated included features in both of these communities. Oak Hill opened its third phase, which still offers exclusive access to the community pool! Cypress Grove is in its fifth phase, with only one phase remaining after this. We also welcomed new homeowners to our second phase of the Villages of Saunders Creek Community, which includes new cottage-style floor plans in addition to the beloved French-countryside plans offered in the previous phase.
We hosted an incredible Continued Education Course, with an award-winning speaker Bobby Mink. This event covered New Home Construction in immense detail that was so useful for real estate agents in the Memphis area to attend! One of the guests in attendance was our very own Grace Wrenn who officially joined our team as a licensed realtor in May, and who has made a great impact in our Cypress Grove Community since then.
We were thrilled to have opened a brand-new model home in Cypress Grove that features a gorgeous new floor plan – The Orchard! We officially moved in April and celebrated its grand opening with a realtor event over the summer for all the local real estate body to see what our design team had been working so hard on for months!
Like many in the Memphis area, we learned to play Mahjong and laughed together over this puzzling game! We even hosted a realtor event where local experts from Mercantile on Main taught many of us how to play. Over the summer, we also learned that not one, not two, but three Magnolia babies would be blessing us in the following months!
We headed into the fall with energy and excitement as we launched our 14th Annual Live Life Well Event! We had an amazing turnout, which led us to meet many of our new homeowners who have spent their first holiday season in their brand-new Magnolia Homes. We were thrilled to find out we were the recipients of the Memphis Choice Awards for Best Home Builder AND Best Locally Owned Business! We carry these accomplishments near to our hearts.
We welcomed two wonderful new employees, Dawnella Hopper and Mac Grannan. They have brought intelligence, patience, and creativity to our workforce and we are so grateful to have them support our Marketing and Design teams! We’ve streamlined so many of our processes and procedures to provide the best experience possible for our homeowners. We launched the Magnolia Homes Guide to Collierville, providing our favorite places, events, and restaurants in our favorite town.
We’ve built some of our most beloved homes ever this year, including building homes for both our VP of Construction and VP of Sales and Marketing! We’ve seen gorgeous designs, brilliant ideas, and vibrant trends mark each of the homes we’ve built. In December, we opened our third Oak Hill Model Home, featuring the La Crema floor plan, marked with sophisticated and timeless designs.
As we do each year, our employees enjoyed working hard and playing hard together. We played our fair share of Catch Phrase, worked together in Sports Trivia, and found who the real athletes were in Top Golf. We enjoyed the holiday season together, including wrapping gifts for our favorite organization, The South Side Wildcats. We made memories together and are eagerly looking forward to many more in the new year!
As we tie this year in a bow, we reflect back on all of our many blessings. We have the greatest privilege in the world: getting to build the place where incredible people build their memories, find peace, and rest in their safe haven. We do not take this honor lightly as we reflect on the past year. We eagerly look forward to building for more memories as a team and for our homeowners in 2025!
